Recently, the installation and commissioning of an 80,000-ton annual production line for furnace slag micro-powder, constructed by SBM, have been successfully completed!

The client is a Fortune 500 enterprise in China, a modern group with diverse business operations. From the outset, the project was of high standards and strict requirements. The entire grinding production line of the project was designed by SBM, with the main equipment being the LM series slag vertical mill. Equipment Selection

Furnace slag grinding is a crucial step in the production of furnace slag micro-powder. The efficiency and quality of the grinding process directly affect the cost and quality of the production. The furnace slag raw materials are transported into the plant by loading trucks and unloaded into the slag storage yard for storage and drying through a discharge hopper and a conveyor belt. The stacked furnace slag is collected by a forklift and conveyed to an elevator through a receiving hopper and a volumetric feeder via a conveyor belt.

During the conveying process, the furnace slag raw materials are subjected to iron removal and screening through an iron remover and a vibrating screen, and then fed into the LM Vertical Grinding Mill for grinding through conveying equipment such as a lock wind feeding device.

After grinding, the furnace slag powder is dried and classified by a powder selection machine with the assistance of hot air provided by a hot air furnace. The furnace slag powder that meets the fineness requirements is collected by a dust collector and then transported through an air conveying chute and an elevator into the finished product storage.
